The death sentence being a controversial topic amongst many people, it is a fifty percent rumor and fifty percent study as no one knows who is right or wrong regarding the death penalty discussion. In these research paper, there are reviews on both the advantages and disadvantages of death penalties as most Americans recognize it. The paper will exploit the that the death penalty is just but a belief and a thought from most people that have contributed to it and whether who is wrong or right which is a question to many.

'Why Violent Video Games Shouldn't Be Banned'?

To understand the reason why most people, have different views on the death penalty case, in these paper, a brief history of the topic will be key. In most nations across the world, there were many methods to which there was enforcement of the death penalty. People who broke laws or morals could be punished in different ways as anticipated of them. Most of the commonly used traditional means of sentencing included poisoning, strangulation, suffocation, stoning, starve to death, being boiled in hot oil, being buried alive and in the recent past the introduction of electrocution either by the use of chamber gas or through poisonous injections. These methods were fortunately cruel and were not largely known by the traditional Americans and most death penalties were adopted from the united kingdoms in Europe. I most occasions most of these executions were done publicly where most drunk men would gather and watch the executions taking place. All crimes against states, people, properties or public harmony in English laws were thereby punished by death. These crimes are all in the current constitution of America. In the early eighteenth century, thieving of minimal amounts of money remained to be small offenses throughout the nineteenth century in Britain. The United States Constitution prohibits uncommon punishments under the amendment Bill of Rights. Although the death penalty question has remained to be a frequently discussed topic by many, it might not be of surprise that in the middle of the nineteenth century, there were campaigns to eliminate death penalty sentences.

The year 1846, the Rhode Island and Michigan state eliminated death penalties (Reggio 2014). Nonetheless, with most states banning the death penalty, some implemented new forms of execution for convicts. Within time most campaigns against death penalties slowed down as some states like Arizona and Washington returned death penalties within the years 1917 to 1955. These saw the execution of Gee Jon who was a murderer at the Tong war. The electric chairs and dangling were now becoming common forms of executions (Regigio 2014).Bibliography annotation. In an essay by (Carmical & Casey, 2011) the authors asserts that death penalties are acceptable and determination of morality is either right or wrong. Thereby, it was rightful to execute a killer. The author clarifies further that acts of executions are more of vengeance and that murderers are sentenced to death by the utmost of compassionate and scientific possibilities. In an essay by (Dieter & Richard, 2011) the authors inspects the incapability of death penalties in terms of economic, social and ethical views. Arguments by the authors entails that the restriction theory had been rejected by the police. Secondly, the authors argue that the death penalty is costly as a lot of money is spent on a small number of cases. The money could be spent on other area and the killers be imprisoned for life (Dieter 2011). (Prejan & Helen, 2006) out of five convicts two convicts of whom the author accompanied were innocent and yet still got executioned. (Prejan 2011) obstructed from momentous evidence, incompetent lawyers and technical details for injustice. Due to such injustices, the death penalty emanates in lots of doubts. The penalty serves as a warning. The professional death penalty who have been dealing with most death cases have a belief that the penalty serves as warning. They trust that if the criminals are killed, those who are planning to commit such offences will not associate themselves in the acts.

Thereby, if the murderers are killed they will not kill anymore and thus those in the acts will be deterred from committing more offences. In a study, around seven to 8 murderers we deterred from murders due to execution of convicts. A death penalty does work because it tends to instill resistance in psychology of a murderer thus preventing further acts of murders. That has made a normal citizen to know that murdering is a crime. But occasionally murderers erupt to the absurd state of thoughts. These kind of behaviors may be as a result of the influence of drugs and alcoholic consumption. Nonetheless, some unusual conditions may occur for example, a wife committing adultery may get caught by her husband and these could disturb the husband mentally thus leading to homicide. But most of the American citizens have been schooled and are able to problem solve and handle themselves in a rightful manner. Others have life goals that they have to work towards thus the death penalty is a detrition to them in their societies. Therefore, these is one of the major reasons why many drugs are illegal the most part of the American societies as they dent to influence people in making unconditional reasoning. Hence if there is a serious sentence, many people will have positive states of minds as majority of the Americans do not abuse drugs. If there was no death penalty most innocent people would have been murdered and those opposing the sentence can only imagine the execution of the offender.Vengeance. Other reasons the professional advocates in mind is that the death sentence functions as a payback.

There are two major types of retribution that is, payback where the victims are satisfied and where the offenders are punished in accordance to the society laws. In the situation of payback revenge, the people are the ones whom determine what punishment the offenders will get. Or rather, in a layman language people get treated the way they treat others. These kind of retribution will not have any prejudgment either in a court of law or a police station. These is sometimes considered as a settlement towards a committed crime. These techniques may apply when the member family may need a payback at times. For example, if a black man commits an offence of raping a white lady, they may be sentence to life imprisonment. Considering the same instance, a white fellow may only get an imprisonment of just 10 years. Nonetheless, for the eye to eye example both offenders would be raped for payback. These is a pure case of indiscrimination and these applies to the death penalty thus no impartiality. Hence, a kill for a kill.DiscussionForm the conclusions made in these paper, there is no evidence that shows a true of false opinion based on the research made. The society should regulate the chances by itself. The offenders have been raised in these same societies thus they should be dealt with in the society. It is the society that will determine if it will contain offenders it or deal with the death offenders accordingly. These offenders are the image of what the society will look like. No one mistake will make a right.
